Gedurende drie weekenden, wordt in het Teijin Auditorium een doorlopend filmprogramma vertoond bij de tentoonstelling Ulay Was Here. Te zien zijn Metamorphosis of a Canal House (1972), Irritation (1976) en een derde, wisselende film over Ulay.

OVER DE TENTOONSTELLING 

Het werk van Ulay bevindt zich op het snijpunt van fotografie en een conceptuele benadering van performance- en body art. Polaroidfoto’s, unica, en in zijn geval vaak exceptioneel grote beelden, zijn een essentieel onderdeel van zijn oeuvre. De tentoonstelling concentreert zich op vier thema’s die de huidige relevantie van Ulay’s werk onderstrepen: zijn focus op performance en de performatieve aspecten van fotografie; zijn onderzoek naar genderidentiteit en naar het lichaam als medium; zijn engagement met maatschappelijke en politieke onderwerpen en zijn relatie met Amsterdam.
