Discover highlights in art and design from the Stedelijk collection in an entirely new presentation in STEDELIJK BASE. On December 15 we celebrate the opening of this new permanent presentation that covers the entire lower level gallery and part of the first floor.

STEDELIJK BASE is the perfect entry point for a first encounter with modern art and design, while art lovers can discover famous Stedelijk masterpieces in a new context. STEDELIJK BASE makes new connections, creates surpirses and unexpected combinations between icons from the collection from, among many others, Pablo Picasso, Jeff Koons, Piet Mondriaan, Charley Toorop, Nan Goldin, Barnett Newman, Yayoi Kusama, Ed van der Elsken en Yves Klein.

The festive evening starts at 10 pm and goes on until midnight. Everyone is welcome for a drink, dance and of course a visit to STEDELIJK BASE*. In case you can’t make it on the night itself, don't worry, during the rest of the weekend, every 50th visitor will receive a special surprise.
