Book — Oct 21, 2016

On the occasion of the first retrospective in the Netherlands of Edward Krasiński (1925-2004), the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Tate Liverpool present this publication on one of the most notable Eastern European artists of the 20th century.

Krasiński was inspired by pre-war avant-garde movements such as Polish Constructivism, and took an experimental approach to making and exhibiting his art.

This volume features essays by Jean-François Chevrier, Kasia Redzisz, Karol Sienkiewicz and Stephanie Straine, who situate Krasiński within the context of the avant-garde tradition and global minimalism and unveil performative aspects of his work.

Publication in cooperation with Tate Liverpool.
