Peer paper is a magazine that sits amidst art and writing. Focussing on the processes of the creation of art in all its forms, be it visual or textual, Peer Paper Platform works with artists that have held open ateliers at Peer's public location and approaches new makers per issue. They print the magazine in small editions with a local and sustainable printer. Peer paper aims to reach fellow makers and thinkers but also tries to reach out to an audience new to the art world.

For the launch of the latest issue Peer Paper Platform organizes a treasure hunt, with happenings on special locations, all connected to the content of Peer paper MAPS issue 4.  The first stop takes you underground to the library of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam with a presentation by the artist Marta Colpani. For this issue Colpani created the map ‘Distance’. It was made during a workshop she organized as part of her residency at Peer Paper Platform in the summer of 2016. She will tell us about her research process, which for this project started in the library of the Stedelijk Museum.

You will also get a sneak peek into the collection of the Stedelijk Museum’s library, introducing some very exciting examples of magazines.
