The speakers will guide a small group of visitors through their personal selection of works in the exhibition. This series of gallery talks will address a wide range of aspects and establish cross-disciplinary connections with the central themes in Isa Genzken’s body of work.
More about the guest speaker
Cas Hieltjes gained fame as lead singer of the band Go Back to the Zoo, which obtained a golden record and performed at the Pinkpop and Lowlands festivals, among others. It is less known that between shows he studied Cultural Studies, for which he researched the role of quantifability in the museum field. During his MA in Museum Studies he assessed the impact of the management choices of Stedelijk director Willem Sandberg on those of his successors Wim Beeren and Edy de Wilde. He is currently finishing the first album of his new band St. Tropez.
