The third Monday in January is increasingly referred to as the gloomiest day of the year; Blue Monday. Fortunately, there is never a lack of color in the Stedelijk Museum.
Cas Hieltjes is tour guide and musician and completed a Masters in Museum Studies. Join him and discover the multitude of colors: such as the blue of Barnett Newman, the colorful CoBrA art or Maria van Elk’s multiple shades of white.
About the gallery talks
In 2024, the Stedelijk Museum continues the series of Gallery Talks which highlights current topics in the collection through the eyes of one of our museum’s experts. On site, in the gallery, you get the chance to immerse yourself in the stories the artworks tell. A conservator, researcher or guide accompanies you and creates time for slow looking and in depth conversations on the topic of the day.
